Journal of Defense Economics and Sustainable Development (DESD) dependent on the Defense Economics Association of Iran and was started its activity since 2016. Journal of Defense Economics and Sustainable Development has a scientific license from the Publications Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran. Field of Study
Defense economics is an interdisciplinary and multi-specialist, according to the definition of the nature of economics, seeks to optimally allocate limited defense resources to defense needs, and in fact, defense economics is an effort to maximize the results of defense affairs by using rules, models and the techniques of economics.
In the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which are a set of 17 interconnected global goals, the world seeks to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all people by ending poverty, protecting the planet, and ensuring peace and prosperity. This issue is pursued in the journal as a basic approach. Therefore, the main focus of the journal is to examine the economic aspects of defense activities with a sustainable development approach, so scientific articles in the field of defense economics and sustainable development are prioritized for publication in the journal.

Defense Economics and Sustainable Development Journal is an open-access journal, meaning all content is freely available to users or their institutions without charge. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles or use them for any other lawful purpose without requiring prior permission from the publisher or author.

Paper Plagiarism Checker
To prevent plagiarism the Journal of Defense Economics and Sustainable Development uses the samimnoor system as a similarity checker tool for the Persian articles and the iThenticate system for the extended English abstract. Before sending to the reviewers, all articles are checked for any similarity, and if the percentage of similarity is more than 20%, the article will be withdrawn from the review process.

This Journal follows the policies and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and and complies with the highest ethical standards in accordance with ethical laws.
The source of the publication
Supreme National Defense University as the publisher, pays the costs related to the journal, including setting up and maintaining the infrastructure of the journal, refereeing articles, editing, pagination and archiving of articles.
